Juventus has come a long way as a football team with a history that goes back to the 19th century where it was just as common then as it is now to establish a football team if you had enough funding to do so.

• Foundations. In 1897 Turin, a northern city in Italy, the economy was doing well enough for citizens from the south to move up for a good chance that they would find work. The wealth of local traders made it possible for the city to start their own football team.
• Why black and white. Initially, the Ronaldo Juventus jersey looked nothing like it does today and consisted of a white shirt and black shorts.
