- Repairing. If you are as an enthusiastic a player as you are a fan, over time, the numbers on your jersey may peel off. To fix this, you can place your jersey on an ironing board with the numbers facing you. Set your iron on the highest setting but keep the steam off. You will then place a piece of plain paper over the peeling number and press the iron edge down over it to set it again. Allow everything to cool before removing the paper, and you're good to go.
